There’s a quiet area near the Boise River that blooms each spring with striking pink blossoms, as if the trees remember something the rest of the world forgets. I had passed this place for years, but this time I stopped. I brought my paints. I sat under the trees. The petals fell around me like a blessing—soft, sacred, and full of invitation. This painting was born in that moment. A holy hush. A whisper of beauty. A reminder that new life doesn’t always arrive with a shout—it sometimes enters like spring wind and sunlight on your skin. Hidden in the branches was a lantern I had never noticed before. It had always been there… waiting for the light to touch it. This piece carries the spirit of resurrection—not loud, but real.
