Lake Payette in McCall, Idaho is a magical place. One evening I was beside the lake and, as only happens on snowy cold days, the pink and purple sunset unfolded before me. The sunset was so majestic I had to revisit it in my painting here. This place is right near where we've watched the Aurora Borealis previously - there is something truly special about this corner of the world. It always amazes me that in the bleak, cold times of year sometimes the brightness and awe-striking colors are even more vibrant.
