12x18 original gouache

Painted live during the 2025 Nampa Festival of the Arts, Sawtooth Sunset captures the exhilaration and joy of translating a beloved mountain range in real time. The Sawtooths rise in bold silhouette as the sky ignites with layers of violet, rose, gold, and deep indigo - colors that seem to move and sing as evening unfolds.

Reflections ripple across the water below, doubling the drama and magic of the moment. This piece holds both the energy of the festival and the timeless pull of the mountains themselves - a reminder of why this range calls us back again and again, offering beauty that feels both powerful and deeply alive.
