The severe mountains juxtaposed next to golden fields and rustle of leaves on the backcountry roads enticed me to paint the Golden Meadow near the Boulder Mountains in Idaho. One of our favorite things to do is explore the "end of the road" in the countryside in our green truck and it would love this adventure. The clouds are filled but are holding back from a shower. Instead, the heat of the afternoon fills the senses, crickets are chirping, and the road is calling you into the forest and perhaps even up near the mountains ahead.
