Sunset at Haystack Rock, Cannon Beach, OR was painted in the gloomy snowy months of winter as a bright spot, filled with memories from a walk on that enchanting beach. It is known as a wonderful sunset spot and when I saw a photo of this moment, capturing the Haystack in relief, I wanted to be there. With art, you can be anywhere at least in your imagination. The bold colors envelop the senses and a sense of mystery, or magic, and majesty is almost overwhelming as even the sea is intense purples, blues, and oranges in the dusky light.
