Two boys with ice cream visiting Whit's End at Focus on the Family with Elizabeth Van Tassel

Tour Whit’s End at Focus on the Family’s Headquarters! Our family takes lots of road trips and we’ve been grateful over the years for fun entertainment with Adventures in Odyssey, both their videos and especially their audio programs. This summer, we got to tour the headquarters in Colorado Springs at Focus on the Family and see Whit’s End, where many of the stories come to life.

From pretending we’re spies to learning wholesome lessons while being entertained, it’s been a great resource for long drives or a fun break. The games, puppets, and activities were perfect for my young tween, and we saw many younger families there playing with the exhibits. Even Jonathan, my teenager, enjoyed reminiscing and thought the special chocolate drink that’s a favorite in the series was delicious. He smiled when he saw the props from Whit’s End and some of the behind-the-scenes technical machinery. And they both really enjoyed the three-story slide (see the end of the video above for his video tour and adventure sliding).

Elizabeth Van Tassel visits Focus on the Family's Narnia room at Whit's End

In the Narnia room – great stories come to life!

We all giggles when stepping through the wardrobe door into a painted landscape of Narnia since we love any and all things C.S. Lewis! The Focus on the Family professionally taped version of the Narnia Chronicles has great sound effects and brings a new dimension of enjoyment to the stories as well.

Another highlight of our visit was the large bookstore, with lots of tips about parenting and keeping your marriage strong, as well as a whole huge section for children. I got to see many writing friends’ work on the shelves.
